Ok, so I have two Sideshow Collectible projects.

One is to do a project using Abraham Lincoln, the other is using Kroenen from Hellboy.

We'll see how that goes.

Current Sideshow

Sideshow collectibles puts out some of the best collectibles out there. From movie replicas to scaled figures, they just kick all ass. These two are Blackbeard (Edward Teach) and a soldier from the Revolutionary War, Delaware Regiment. I'm waiting for January to roll around because they're putting out an awesome George Washington figure. When that comes out, I'll be sure to put it next to the Revolutionary Soldier.

They also put out Scarface. Now, you think, sure, Scarface was a violent movie and everyone says they've seen it and it 'changed them'. Hrm. I saw it when I was 6 years old. Ha ha, and so you who know can understand why I turned out the way I did. Maybe. He's got a sound chip and actually says phrases from the movie direct as Al Pacino. Sideshow put out two versions, regular and exclusive. Though both versions are not exactly for kids, the exclusive version had three extra phrases. I was 'lucky' enough to get one of the exclusive version. The only 'con' I could find about this figure (pardon the pun), was that he doesn't say "Say hello to my little friend". But, all the same...awesome. He comes with a firearm, 5 stacks of 20s, and a switchblade. How cool is the detail? If you look at EACH individual $20 bill in the stacks... they look pretty darn good in detail. And I'm saying each individual bill is detailed.

So earlier, I'd posted about Sideshow Collectibles' awesome contest and I was just content to join for the excitement. Imagine when I saw the website and it said, check this out, you won! Well, not those words, exactly, but still. ha ha. Pretty much danced in the hallway, and Hailz knew. Smiley came and checked out the commotion. Sure enough...And then the decision to make. Do i pick Sean Connery/Bond, Sauron from Lord of the Rings, or this big statue of the Green Goblin from Spiderman. It was unanimous, really. I had a tie between Bond and Sauron. Everyone else picked Bond... so... and now, a day earlier than expected...

Bond, James Bond, #397 of 2000, is home. :)

Today...was a monday, but no...not a case OF the Mondays. Had the usual every-other-week meeting. ha ha. The rules of dodgeball apply to meetings. Dodge, duck, dip, dive and dodge.

What? A question for me? DODGE!

Had a few items to review and status other folks. Had to do a scavenger hunt for some stuff in the office. Found it, but it was hidden. ha ha! problems averted. G. I. Joooooooooe!

turkey? ha ha! I boycott turkey..for now... but just wait. stuffing and cranberry sauce and pumpkin pie WILL be mine... oh yes. that left taco bell, wendy's, and mcdonalds as suggestions.

Smiley saw me and said during the morning, "Ha ha, you're going to eat a McRib, aren't ya?" Well, I did just recommend to Mom and Dad McRib for lunch, and they said they'd go. ah, the powers of suggestion. So, Hailz and I made way to Mickey D's. She ate healthier while i got my McRib fix.

But the craziest need-crazy-pills thing happened... after today, i think my McRib fix has been satiated. Yep. On to other foods. I could so totally go for some Pho Hoang, Taco Bell, Boston Market, or even Jason's Deli! Yep yep, all good. Oh, that and even Oriental Gourmet, aka chicken on a stick, aka the trough.

After that, it's just been business as usual.

Work work work, usual usual, mostly usual.

On the way out, we saw a nice little yellow paper on my windshield. Motherfucker! a ticket. WTF. I was in a non-gov't vehicle spot. I am so TOTALLY gonna fight this one. sad thing? i've had 4 tickets at work in 5+ years. I've managed to get 2 dropped, and the 3rd one, i just said fuck it, i'll let y'all win on this one, although it was the most retarded one. The bumper extended about an inch or two past a line. They wrote the ticket on a frickin' sunday too. ha. so this one? the 4th? the offense says my decal was not visible. wtf. decal??? and it's not a gov't spot. i am so totally gonna have a field day tomorrow. ha ha ha

other than that... went to the comic shop, traded 3 figs, made 30+ dollars, and then headed home. pretty nice day.

Junk Food Supply

Junk food.
Very druggy by nature.

You start out with a little piece of chocolate.
And then you move on up to the hardcore stuff.

For the really die-hards, there's the 5-pound Hershey's chocolate candy bar.
Yes, it does exist. Those of us who've seen the other side knows it exists.

But... ok. so... maybe it's just an asian thing...maybe not.
But there's this thing called Pocky.

It's like sesame crackers, but dipped in chocolate.
There's also Yum-Yums where the sesame sticks are not pre-covered in chocolate... you get to dip them yourself in its chocolate container that they come in.

And...Panda Bears. sesame cookie shaped like teddy grahams... with chocolate inside.

Well... the whole point of this post is... I wanted to get Sara some Pockysticks cuz I know they didn't have them in NY. And Cindy said she wanted to as well, but that they were turned down cuz they were Korean Pocky and not Japanese Pocky. Imagine that... Gang fights over Pocky territory.

Hmm. scary. so...anyway... we used to have to buy these things from a store 30 or so mins drive away. there's a closer store now. muhahahahaha. even close to work. so if i ever need a Pocky fix...voila.

Mighty Morphine Power Rangers

So.... I was on the Sideshow Collector's chatroom, and we were discussing stuff from Lord of the Rings to what we had to do Monday (after someone mentioned a bar was open 24 hrs nearby)...

And then, I threw out the topic of...

Sauron versus Godzilla, with help from Mothra and the Turtle thingie.
Everyone picked Godzilla.

Then I threw out, Sauron versus the Mighty Morphin(e) Power Rangers.
Again, Sauron lost.

And then we, as mostly guys, veered to the Asian chick ranger. mmMmmm
which then veered onto the Pink Ranger... very nice...

The Black Ranger was black.

The Green Ranger... became white ranger... then red ranger... then black dino ranger...

Just... weird.

I still say Voltron was so much better, and they were animated.

Anyways, thank you for the comments y'all leave. I do read each and every one, and though I sometimes don't reply to the specific post you comment on, I'll try my hardest to reply to them in a new post. like this one.

Thank you for the condolences for my grandfather and to our family friend. Thanks for the humor and compliments, too. I'll try to keep on posting about any and everything that come to mind. Just bear with the ADHD part of me when I go from one topic to another.

And on another note, I think the blog is safe again cuz so far, no one's been coming to it because of the Napoleon Dynamite figures topic or pictures. ha ha ha ha.

Every now and then... it's usually quiet. no music playing ANYWHERE.
And then... out of nowhere... these songs just start playing in my head.... and it's like.... internal soundtrack music.

So with that said, sometimes I'd hear aerosmith. Sometimes, it's Vanilla Ice. Sometimes, it's Earth, Wind, and Fire. Or when it's a nice quiet moment, Allison Krauss.

So right now, would someone please tell me why the hell "Another Bad Creation" entered my head and I've got 'playground' in my head???

Work Responsibility

Ok. so...
The manager was away on Friday.
The one I deem should be next in line was at home with his wife and new daughter.
And then there's Anastacia. She too was gone.

So... that makes me (somehow in this strange dimension) next in line to be manager.
HA HA! The mayhem I could cause! The parties we could...oh...wait... this is work.. the mayhem I could cause!!! Alas. None was to be caused.

Why?
CAUSE NO ONE ELSE WAS AT FRICKIN WORK!!!

Ah, to be the manager of.... yourself. how...exciting.

Anyways, aside from watching the UT/A&M game (ah, the perks of work), actually got some work done. Reduced my inbox from 400+ messages down to under 150 again. Did some presentations and another document. Reviewed some other stuff too... and then caled it a day.

Considering I was pretty much the last person there, except for one other person. Yep. 4pm, didn't have lunch yet... mMMmm...McRib sounded good, bishes! Mickey D's and McRib, here I ..... don't come.

Drove home, prepared some dinner for later that night, ate the remaining chicken tenders, and then watched Herbie Fully Loaded with Lindsay Lohan.

mMMmm....Lohan.
Supposedly she had a breast dehancement in that movie. Didn't really see any. Just right.

And as for the chicken tenders? It worked out. Usually, with turkey, you ate the leftovers for the next following days. The chicken tenders did a nice job standing in. And instead of stuffing? mmMmmmm....macaroni and cheese.

topped off with caffeine.

Life. is. good.

and then on Monday... back to normal. no mayhem caused. argh. :)

Thanksgiving

Ok. So.
Here's the story.

Dad was home with granddad. Granddad passed away. Mom goes to the Phils. to join Dad. I'm home alone. *eyebrow* the mayhem I could cause! the parties I could have! Uh huh. Right.

No parties. No mayhem. I vacuumed, I cleaned, I made sure that when they got home, the place was relatively spotless. Oy.

This is probably the first thanksgiving I didn't really celebrate. Didn't I say things weren't normal? I mean, don't get me wrong. I've got some of the best friends I could have ever asked for. KC and Kerry's family, Hailey, Maury, some of the Filipino filies I roll with... shoot, even Jessica said get a ticket and follow them all to DC.

They all invited me for Thanksgiving, and so I was like... Man, if I could have Santa's powers and be at every house? I'd swing it. Can NEVER have too much turkey, stuffing, and cranberry sauce. But, with all the choices... i... stayed at home.

Yeah, I was tempted to go all the way to Katy, or north Houston, but somehow... i dunno.

So, that night, I made some chicken tenders, macaroni and cheese, and brocoli, and watched War of the Worlds and Star Wars III. I thought for once I'd try to make the 'black friday' shopping day, so I stayed up 4am. come and gone. 5am. got online and chekced out what I could get for cheap. 530, got in the shower to get ready. All. Systems. Are. Go. Bishes!

and then. i'm in the shower. and I think.... i don't need half that shit. sure, memory cards and portable dvd players and video games for $10 sounds way good. But I don't really need memory cards (well, ok, so i do, but still), and how often will i use a portable dvd player? that's what laptops are for anyways. and $10 video games? If I really want a game, i'd have it already. So... I stayed up.

got out of the shower, got dressed, and.... vacuumed around the house. Finished doing receipts. and then watched some tv. and then... went to sleep.

Got a call from Smiley... hah hah. He's so cool. Instead of saying WAKE YOUR ASS UP, DUMBASS, he just said, there's no one here. And like that, lightning synapses tell my head where 'here' is, and i'm like ha ha ha... i'm there.

So... no turkeys. no stuffing. no cranberry sauces. not even.... frickin a.... pumpkin pie. mmMMmm pie...
so, this week? when all of y'all are getting your December-is-almost-here on, i'm gonna have a belated turkey breast (mmmMmmmm breast) and cranberry sauce and stuffing and pumpkin frickin pie.

YEAH!

Getting back to normal

I don't usually get rattled.
But I can get off-kilter from my day to day.
Meaning, I hadn't been sleeping normal. Ha ha, considering what I call normal sleep patterns, most college students call it 'cramming for some test'. So, instead of sleeping at 2-2:30am, I'd sleep at 4-ish, wake at 6:30-7ish, and then start the day. Eating, eh... thank goodness for McRibs and whatever I can put together at home. Oddly enough, McRibs are a hit or miss with people. Either you *heart* it when it's available, or you cringe at the idea. Ha ha.

This year, I went to more funerals than usual. Also had a wedding or two, and we've also welcomed several people to the world. Last time it was this active was 1995 when my own world was changed, we had several deaths in the family, and it was just... different. Actually... speaking of which... I picked up my parents from the airport last night, and after getting them settled in, I went to sleep around 2am. Although I woke up at 1030am, went back to sleep and woke up again at 530pm. It poured hard this morning, so I guess that's what woke me up a few times, but yeah... woke at 530pm. Ha ha...
Last time this happened? 1995.

Basically, got home from College Station. I was 19. It was December. Went to sleep that one night, and the phone rang. I picked it up, and it was dark outside. I'm like... "Hello?" It was Mom calling and so I was like, "Hey... um... why are you calling so early? It's still dark outside!" So she says that what do you mean it's early? It's 6pm! And I was like... and why are you at work so early at 6am? It still didn't sink in, until WHAM...
OH SHIT! It's 6 frickin PM! haha

Back to normal. Slowly. Not the same as before, but it's back to something.

McRib for dinner

An Autumn Day in November

last week, i posted that my Grandfather passed away.
Last night, I learned that a close ... very close family friend had also passed away.
Like my grandfather, he too, was sick.
Unlike my grandfather, he was very young.
Young by my standards.
Young like 57.

He leaves behind a wife, 3 kids... 2 in college, one in high school.
I taught the youngest in Sunday School.
I was chaperone for the three of them every now and then when we all wanted to go out as a big group.
Those years had come and gone.

And now, so is Tito Steve.

Today was the viewing.
Tomorrow will be the funeral and burial.
I'd been asked to be a pallbearer.

It's a different direction from being an altar server.
There, it's surreal, looking from the altar at the casket, at the family, at the mourners of friends and family. But now, to be with the family during the service will be a different feeling. The emotion will be more concentrated. My heart and my eyes cry. Not for Tito Steve. He's in a better place, and not suffering. No. My heart goes out to those left behind. To Tita Beth, Liz, Christine, and Joe. To everyone else.

I remember when we used to live a few blocks away, we'd go visit, and before we had our own lemon tree in the back, they would share some from their tree. And even when ours was growing, they still shared. I remember the dances and parties we would all attend. He would sometimes dance with Tita Beth, as the kids sat down for a breather. More often, they would just sit and watch everyone. I remember visiting their house, whether for social gatherings or just personal visits since they lived so close. I remember the Thanksgivings and Christmas' we all shared as families together. The photographs are proof, should memory ever fail. He was a loving husband, father, brother, friend, coworker, and doctor.

I told my Tita Mags, it's sad, but it's always better when it's someone you weren't close to, someone who may have been a friend or acquaintance, but not so close... but when the person we lose is one we love, one we are close to, it is just so hard to accept.

It is a cold autumn day in November. God, please make tomorrow beautiful so that though in his passing we cry and remember Tito Steve, when we remember this day, we'll remember how beautiful it was when he left us.

holiday volunteer

today was a holiday from work.
so today, i did some volunteer work.
i also helped several families,
got a lot of exercise out of it,
and had some fun.

got volunteer hour credit for it.

saw Jules, and also an old classmate.
really weird when you run into the old classmates
sometimes, they've aged so much, it's like....wtf
sometimes, it's as if time stopped

also ... met a girl.
she went to my high school when i was still there.
somehow, she knew me, so i'm like... eh?

and she's cute. really cute.
did a double take.

i'm stupid and silly that way, yes,... but still.
it was a really long, didn't-sit-down-at-all, kept-on-walking, volunteer day.

saw grandma afterwards, then headed home to chill by around 7.

Just Friends

The friend zone. You know, there may have been two or three times in twenty nine years I bordered there, but didn't fall completely in. Two or three times. The other times, and I'm losing count, it was for some reason whatsoever. Either I wasn't "attractive, or witty, or charming, or cute, or tall, or pick a hang-up here", enough, or because they preferred one of my friends and I was their "inside information" to that friend, or whatever other excuse... Other times, most often than not, I just didn't say FUCK IT and just dive in and see if Lady Luck was with me with the particular lady. Before you start reading this, IF you start reading this, don't read it from the perspective that this is going to be a drawn-out pity party for a lonely person. No. It's 4 fucking AM, I don't have that much alcohol in my system...that I know of, but I just wanted to say something here other than an EPO or what news is on cnn.com or whatever. I just wanted to get this out.

i'm not fully afraid of death, but i am very cautious of asking someone out with the word 'date' being involved. would you like to hang out? no problem. wanna go do something tonight/[insert day here]? ok. but i have a current hangup on saying exactly, "wanna go out on a date?"

it stems from me thinking too much. If i don't mention 'date', maybe they'll be more apt to go hang out, and i like their company. Ah, selling the package, but selling it short... but throw in one word in there, and you get either a different response, or as I would hate it, put the other person in an awkward position. say yes and mean it, say yes cuz you got cornered, say yes and try to back out nicely later, say no upfront with a nice comforting excuse, or just say no.
so many options. all awkward, unless they do want to say yes and mean it.

shit, that and then if they respond with a yes... well, honestly, i haven't thought that far. TO be brutally honest here, there are times when I'm at work, or at school, and just listen in on what the other folks did the night before. Living vicariously. Nod my head, listen in, smile, joke with... but all the while, live vicariously. How the guys just easily picked up strangers at a club. How these girls just walked up to them. How they've all been in all of these relationships and situations. Living vicariously through them.

I've had a few hangups and whatever you want to call it situations from elementary school, Jr/High School, all the way through college. There are times I want to break out of that shell and want to just tell someone "hey, i probably sound like a dumbass right now trying to be honest and say I like you and attracted to you cuz you're attractive some way some how, either because of your charm and smile, the way you carry yourself, your personality, your interests, your looks...and wonder what you thought", because i feel that maybe they might be a little bit interested in me too...or at least a chance they might be...or my friends say or try to convince me that "she's into you" ...

but sometimes, and i am smiling and laughing while typing this, when I'm getting to where i want to say that, before i even get it out, they come out and say they're into other women only, or mention some guy they didn't mention before, and not only that, ask advice about how guys would think so that they can plan on whether or not it's worth going after that guy. i guess it'd be ok if only they didn't have a clue you were into them, but if once in a while i venture out and throw signs... and from what i'm told, they're subtle and yet not so... and STILL get asked about other guys... that's usually the worst feeling of what do they have that i don't? so no. she wasn't into me. false positive, false hope. next person in line please?

this is misery. put me out of it.

Just friends? It's safer. But it gets boring as fuck sometimes. Can't have too many friends. I know. But 3rd wheeling it after all these years has me a lil bitter. i may be a boring motherfucker, but fuck it, i know to give flowers and get a girl to smile and laugh now and then, and i'm not an asshole 24/7... just at 4:30 am when i'm awake and thinking instead of dreaming of my dreamgirl. PICK ME for once, damnit. Just this one this week. With that said and done, i'm gonna fucking toothbrush now and get ready for bed. and then hopefully wake up 1.5 hours from now when my alarm goes off, and try to get myself in the shower to fully wake my ass up. and say that from the time of the 3rd EPO til now, this was just part of a dream.

Evil Eyes

I was reading Cin's updates and read something re: Sara Smiles. Now, Sara has this smile that can get you smiling even on the most god-awful fucked up day (and that in itself is a secret power), but she also has these evil eyes. Supposedly. It sometimes works. Sometimes. I say that because Sara can use those evil eyes on others and it can make them change their ways.

Smiley be my witness, but Lord knows, when she pulled the evil eyes on me...not once, not twice, but for the 10+ times... I can honestly say I haven't changed my ways, and worse... it made me smile. No, not to spite her, but you just have to imagine the situation. Here is an example.

Sara was working on something.
I'm by heart and nature one to play games now and then.

I'd go to her desk and mess with her. She'd take me seriously. I leave and go back dwn the hall. She'd realize I was joking. She gets up from her desk and walks down the hall. *TAP TAP TAP TAP TAP TAP TAP TAP* Yes, Darling Sara wore these shoes that prevent her from being a ninja. But damn, she used that hallway like a runway cuz she always wore black, and she walked that hall to where I was with a vengeance.

"BUM!!!!" [evil stare]
"Yes Princess?" [as i smile back]
"I.....I....." [change from evil stare... to ummm....back to evil stare again]
"I hate you!" [evil stare returns, she stomps off back into the hallway, stops midway, turns (i swear, with a model's grace), looks, sees me looking back smiling, gives off a "grrrrr" look, mouths "I HATE YOU", then stomps back off to her desk]

Then Smiley and I would go back to what we were doing, and yes, truth be exposed, I'd say, "she's cute already, but she's just cute when she does that." Smiley would nod his head and smile.

So... I know sooner or later she'll read this, and she knows what I'm talking about.
And this is in rebuttal to Cindy's comment that the reason why asian guys have this guilty look or what not during Sara's evil stare is cuz they're cowards. And she admits it's a "harsh generalization". Indeed. Her evil eyes never got me to stop smoking. Or change my ways. Just got me to smile more again.

Sara Smiles, Darlin... the evil eyes won't work on me. Now... when she pouts... THAT is a whole different story. But then again, every now and then, a cute chic pouting works.

Moose Invasion Under the Influence

I read today that two moose in Sweden invaded the premises of an elderly home...apparently intoxicated after eating some fermented apples. The cow and her calf were scared off by officials, but somehow kept returning to get more of the fermented apples. And yes, they were getting more aggressive and drunk each time... so the police had to bring in dogs and a hunter to 'convince' them to leave. After chasing them away once more, this time, the officials made sure to remove the apples from the area.

Hmm. Drunk Moose. Sounds like something for a beer commercial.

Differences of Opinions

You know... as I was doing a few EPOs...
I think I must have just...for lack of a better term...screensavered myself, cuz next thing I fucking know... 3rd EPO strip into it, it's fucking 2am. what the hell... it doesn't take me that long to do one, and it's now 2 frickin AM? jesus, i so totally dozed off! Some ninja EPO could have deleted whatever EPO strip I was working on...

Anyways, that was done, and here I am. Second wind. and Caffeinated.

Yes. Caffeinated. What I'm doing drinking caffeine when I should be getting ready to sleep (ref: getting sleepy mid-EPO drawing), I have no idea. It's like... smoking when you're lready sick or coughing. Doesn't make sense... but ya still do it anyways.

So today, a friend and I went to run errands (work related) earlier during work and one thing we discussed was the recent voter response to same-sex marriage in Texas:

A state constitutional ban on same-sex marriage championed by Republican Governor Rick Perry and social conservatives won overwhelming voter approval today as Texans decided nine proposed amendments.
With more than 472,000 votes counted, 74 percent favored the ban while 26 percent were against it.
Same-sex marriage already is prohibited under Texas law.

Those who supported Proposition 2 said a constitutional ban was needed to ensure a judge doesn't decide to allow gays to marry. Supporters and opponents the gay marriage ban battled aggressively for weeks, holding debates, dueling news conferences and sending out campaign messages through the Internet and airwaves. Opponents argued a constitutional ban was unnecessary and merely a statement of discrimination against homosexuals. They also suggested that the proposed amendment was so poorly drafted it could endanger common-law or traditional male-female marriages, depending on how a judge interpreted it.

Now, I've heard some of those strongly for, and those strongly against it... I thought I'd be few in my line of thinking, but actually, I'm not. That thinking is, hey, if you're gay or lesbian, and you up and wanna be in a same-sex relationship, that's fine. Your life, your decision. Just call it a life partnership. But to me, it just doesn't have the full sounding backing to be called a 'marriage'. I know it's stupid, one way of putting it, versus a word, but hey, sometimes opinions sound stupid, but they're just that. opinions. I'm all for still having equal rights and benefits. But just not all in for calling it a specific term. But again... it's in a democratic way. People voted. I've got gay friends. Some have their life partners. Best of life to them and their happiness. But to me, i still don't call it marriage.

I mean, to have to state "SAME-SEX" before the word 'marriage', read: Same-Sex Marriage, why? Why do you have to make it stand out? Why do you have to ... make it unique? By having to call it "same-sex marriage" as opposed to just... "marriage", you already acknowledge a difference. What then, if I have a sister, or if a female friend had a brother... and though not in an incestuous relationship, wanted to be themselves considered "married" just for the benefits that the word "marriage" entails?

You then reduce the word "marriage" not to the sanctity and tradition that it has through ages been defined to, but have redefined and reduced it solely as a "legal binding to support benefits". Soon, you open this to potential discussion on what a majority of society has deemed a no-no. If enough people with pets wanted to say they were married to their pets, how would society address that? Well, aside from the "WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU ON?" that you may be thinking, reading this far, as to why I even bring it up... realize that 10...maybe 20 or so years ago, the idea of "same-sex marriage" would raise the "WHAT THE FUCK?" question. Now? Exactly. Asking for a sibling marriage or a pet-marriage would raise the same question.

I say, get the law to be redefined in such a way that what institutions already laid forth aren't argued against (don't call it marriage. That seems to rile a shitload of people off), and yet establish a parallel system that reconizes a same-sex union, without using the word "marriage", and establish equal benefits. A "same-sex partnership", or "same-sex union". Fuck it. Don't even add "same-sex". Doing so already starts you off different.

But that's just my opinion.

Today, ... it was a pretty good busy day.
Understatement.
It was a busy day, and all the things I had planned to do... I have no idea if i got done. I can only hope.

Got to work... tried to review the things I wanted to, but by the time I got to sit down...hell, the second my butt touched my seat, full salvo broadside, and I couldn't steer and sail away. Avast ye!

So i nodded my head... I coud have been sitting next to the Devil him/herself (I personally think 'her'), and I may have sold my soul from nodding and going "uh huh, yeah, yeah, uh huh, ok, uh huh". So finally got that taken cared of... went on to following up on something that had come up from people wanting to change something that we weren't aware of. Had to skip out on a meeting to go to training. Got that done, did lunch... mMMmmm McRib. Only one other person at work fully appreciates the McRib. Go figure it'd be the only other southern type. ha. ony he had his for dinner the previous night, and here I was havin it for lunch.

Lunch and training went by fairly decently. Yeah, the guy spoke monotone, but heh heh, actually learned something. Hmm. ok... so... one of my projects is supposed to be presented today for approval... so that was a new meeting... and yet, there was another meeting right around that time. Meetings are cool... as long as they're not meetings about meetings, or having a meeting to discuss about meeting. Ack!

Left one meeting, went to another... it was cool cuz everyone's on the same page and it looks like it's gonna be lesser required stuff than necessary, paperwork wise. Left there, did a quick show and tell to another engineer what we would need in a bit. So far, so good. Got back to my desk... sat at my desk...

Ever get that feeling that folks just...wait for you? or even, as books would say... lurk around the corner and then WHAM! yes. so true. Rudder amidship, and took yet another salvo. Dodged, Ducked, Dipped, Dove, and...Dodged... (5 D's of Dodgeball, yo)... and took care of that. Karma. Believe in it.

In the morning, I had asked, lemme sit down and get bearings first. One coworker snickered and agreed. No joy. So in the afternoon... same story, except afterwards, there was a lil shootaround. Yes, the NERF was back. after several shots, change players... few shots were made, ball rolled to me, made the pass... he took a shot, got blocked hardcore, ball ricochets, bounces, then WHAM! Entertaining, to say the least, but man, we cleared the room for other rooms.

The rest of the day went fairly smooth. Reviewed the paperwork i had wanted to, followed up on a few other items, and then just chilled. Ah, Sonic break with Hailz.

After work, went to Cold Stone with Cin. Tried their new espresso mixed with mint. Hmmm. it was ok, but I'll stick with amaretto or coffee and mint... or coffee and peppermint. After that, we went to Best Buy... ha ha, she bought Office Space. Always a classic. While she looked around, also went back to look at the XBOX 360. So cool. yis. got a free cd and dvd out of the trip. can't complain.

After that, headed home and just chilled.
And that... was the day.

Though this week, the current rule is, send me a meeting request just so i remember i have a meeting via the pop-up thingie from Outlook. Ah, technology...

E.P.O. - Oops

So I finally brought back the NERF basketball back to the office.
Actually, I bought it for my team so that they can take a little break, de-stress with the NERF basketball, and get some hand/eye coordination and a little exercise. It is actually an effective tool. Even the manager joins in, which is awesome.

Well... I'd somehow taken it home and it ended up in the garage somewhere. After cleaning the garage, it resurfaced so I brought it in to work. A few of the guys were doing a shootaround... and it rolled to me, I passed it,... it got blocked, ricochetted off the shooter, and he didn't catch it in time, and WHAM...

ya had to have been there.

Friday, Cin said she was gonna go and watch Goodnight and Good Luck while I did errands. I'm like... hah, the movie sounds cool, but it could be a bit long. Yeah... she ended up agreeing. But really, I think Clooney will get an award for something for that movie... but if -i- could do something?

It's an all Black & White movie... what if you picked a few items and people and somehow made them colored in...red...to symbolize something communist. So like... 1/3 into the movie, you see some dude in red sticking out, and no one in the movie knew he was a communist... and then later, he's seen again marching to a communist camp or something... or every now and then, an item on a desk is in red, which could be like... a communist party membership card. Hmm. just a thought.

1st cruise I went on, this old lady I sat next to actually knew on of the engineers I worked with. And as for the other trip last year, I saw next to this couple and after we chatted about where I worked, they told me that their daughter was now the owner of one of the engineering firms in the area I knew about. How rare.
