"what did i did"?

hmm. went to work.
got the nice orange bag thingie out of one lab and into another.
sure, there's more details that should be filled out here, but that's usually the detailed stuff i reserve for sharing only at work.
for the most part.

we had an all-hands awards ceremony today...
each group member was announced for what we are either known for, or what we do, what we contribute to the team, or whatever. actually, the manager came to the other manager and i and asked, and what can we say about this person? and that one?
when they got to me... heh, i said "i really don't do anything"..and smiled.
they smiled, and one manager said... ya know... that's right. so i said, heeeey, waitaminnit, i do miscellaneous schtuff. so, heh.

after that, we played some video games, and then two rounds of laser tag, and then headed back to work. did i say that the lil get-together was at Putt-Putt golf? I love my manager.

after that, more work, and then had to go cuz i had to drive on to school and take an exam.
i haven't really had much chance to study for the exam tonight with a lot of stuff going on, either at work, or whatever else. so anyways, took tonight's test and got that graded. made a 94 on it.
i'd taken a test two days ago. guess what?!?! i made a 100 on that. woo! like... 70+ questions too. the one tonight had about almost the same number of questions.

so, the tally...
since the beginning of June, two classes.
4 quizzes, 98, 97, 100, 98
1 test in that class, 93
2 tests in the other class... 100, and a 94.

have some relatives in from over yonder so gonna take them around.
that's been today in a nutshell.

hmm. yep. not much else, really. :)

Smiley

This post is for Smiley.
He knows who he is.
He's a faithful reader
that never comments

if i don't ask him, read it yet?
he'll tell me anyways

heh.

So. Smiley.
Smiley Smiley

0310... time to check the e-mail.
check-cha-check the email.

oh yeah... i had a mischievous streak earlier this evening.
decided to call two managers and say in their voicemail:

"IT'S THAT WOO-WOOOO!
only in the mornin'....
supposed to be up cookin' breakfas' or somethin' by then
so it's like an alarm clock....
woo-WOOOOOOOOOOOO"

for those not in the know.... Bubb-Rubb...and Lil' Sis.
that's all i have to say.

let's see what they say tomorrow.

nevermind

ok, so fuck it.
i can't sleep
not just yet

dunno why.
but now what?

i sat in a meeting today
a four hour long non-stop
all through lunch
minus the eating lunch part
meeting

did I mention i'm probably one of the
more expensive mouse / spacebar clickers
that NASA has to offer?

apparently so, it's my specialty.
have a presentation?
need an expert?
i'm apparently the person that gets volunteered.

nothing exciting other than that part of work,
helping one of the interns with one of her assignments,
etc etc

i have to keep reminding her that the workplace is not typical.
elsewhere, she might get older, boring people.
let alone people who go to work wearing devil's horns.
she just laughs and keeps thinking i'm interestingly different.
i reckon.

heh. Patsy said the horns looked good on me, and she had barely even noticed i had them on.
"you know, i just noticed what you had on your head!"

my response? an old favorite line...
"the greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn't exist"

that's where she replied they looked good on me.
"of course"

crash crash baby

so yeah
3am
i'm gonna call it a night
:)

nice long day on Tuesday...
feelin' wednesday's about to be the same

INGATZ!!! your cousin,PAULPAUL

Paul's way playful. But of my cousins, i think he's the toughest one. One thing we;ve got in common is high tolerance for pain. It was way funny though listening to him grow up. He used to have a really high pitched voice.

March 26, 2004:
kuya bumbum's a really nice guy. I don't see him that much but everytime i do i always have fun listening to his corny jokes, the way he makes certain facial expressions which crack me up all the time. He sure knows how to sing and dance. He actually dances when he does karaoke. hehe... it would be fun if u could visit us more often. Anyways, that's all i can say. hmm.. hows nasa? ru having fun with your work? it would be nice if we could visit you someday. but right now, i wish you all the luck in the world, you sure deserve it.

From another set of cousins, she's the quiet one, but the one of the ones I tend to talk with a lot more when I'm with that side of the fam. She looks like the actress type too.

Kuya Bum.. He hates it when I call him Kuya. Hehehe. I met him when I was about to enter third year high school. This guy is super kulit! Trying hard na makapag tagalog. Hehehe. Pero galing na niya mag tagalog in fairness! I miss you!

Kuya means 'older brother/cousin'
It's a sign of respect from the younger ones, but still within your generation.
Kulit is something like... playful....not really annoying, but... playful.
etc etc.

What are they saying?

so on friendster, they have these things called testimonials

minus someone saying "Can I get a witness?"....all in one breath, too.

so yeah. some are from relatives. some are from friends.
funny how others see ya.
interesting to say the least.

Retirement Plan - 401-Keg

New Retirement Planning
If you had purchased $1000.00 of Nortel stock one year ago,
it would now beworth $49.00.

With Enron,
you would have $16.50 left of the original $1,000.00.

With WorldCom,
you would have less than $5.00 left.

But, if you had purchased $1,000.00 worth of beer one year ago,
drank all the beer,
then turned in the cans for the aluminum recycling price,
you would have$214.00.

Based on the above, current investment advice is to drink heavily and recycle.
It's called the 401-Keg Plan.

Princess Jodie

Did you know...

Jodie Foster was the first choice to play the role of Princess Leia in the original "Star Wars" trilogy but could not get out of her contract with Disney. George Lucas then decided to make Princess Leia older.

How rare.

Saw the following from the bulletin board i frequent:

FEMALE PRAYER FOR 2005:
Before I lay me down to sleep, I pray for a man, who's not a creep,
One who's handsome, smart and strong,
One who loves to listen long,
One who thinks before he speaks,
One who'll call, not wait for weeks.
I pray he's gainfully employed,
When I spend his cash, won't be annoyed.
Pulls out my chair and opens my door,
massages my back and begs to do more.
Oh! Send me a man who'll make love to my mind,
knows what to answer to "how big is my behind?"
I pray that this man will love me to no end,
And always be my very best friend. Amen.

MALE PRAYER FOR 2005:
I pray for a deaf-mute nymphomaniac with huge boobs who owns a liquor store and a bass boat. This doesn't rhyme and I don't give a shit! Amen

Side note: Growin' up on the island, we always bought fish and shrimp from this one guy, and this somehow helps explain yours truly's mentality (aside from watching Scarface at age 6/7)...
At the fisherman's store, he had this posted... He and his wife were always the nicest. Still are...

"I met the perfect woman
I could not ask for more
She's deaf and dumb and oversexxed
and owns a liquor store"

Apparently, someone's prayer got answered.
Heh.

The Old Man

A seventy-four-year-old man is sitting on a park bench, sobbing, when a young man walks by and asks him what's wrong. Through his tears the old man answers,

"I'm in love with a twenty-two-year-old woman."
"What's wrong with that?" asks the young man.

Between his sobs and sniffles, he answers,
"You don't understand. Every morning before she goes to work, we make love.
At lunch time she comes home and we make love again,
and then she makes my favorite meal.
In the afternoon when she gets a break, she rushes home and gives me oral sex,
the best an old man could want.
And then at supper time, and all night long, we make love."

He breaks down, no longer able to speak.
The young man puts his arm around him.
"I don't understand. It sounds like you have the perfect relationship.
Why are you crying?"

The senile old man answers, again through his tears, "I forgot where I live."

Exceptions to the rule

There are rules.
There are always rules.
There are folks who make the rules.
There are folks who follow the rules.
There are folks who bend the rules.
There are always exceptions to the rules...well, ok, sometimes.

Point being, everything is always up for discussion.
Negotiation.
Compromise.

here's to rules.

Staying in touch

last night, i don't know why, but as always, i couldn't sleep.
so, i just websearched/googled, ebayed, that sort of thing.
and then i started reading a news article about the elections in Iran...
then clicked on the term Ayatollah cuz one of the running hopefuls is an Ayatollah. And then I clicked on Ayatollah Khomeini cuz I remembered seeing him on TV and one of the old Batman series in the comic books. And then I clicked on Mohammed, and then went on to read a little about Islam and about Fatima. Fatima was one of his daughters, and he so loved her, and she loved her father dearly. So, I read more about her and of him, and it was just interesting reading.

I won't ever convert, if that's what you're probably wondering.
But it's just so different reading more about our differences.

well, dug. that's why they're different, right?
but really, it adds interest and like i said before, maybe there's hope.

Islam had always been around, they say, but that Mohammed brought it out after his visions with the angel Gabriel. Gabriel made him recite some verses that are now the Quran, and there's some common ground. I read somewhere where they also believe in a final judgement day and await a Mahdi, and gave a description of this Mahdi. Jesus, to them, was also to come along side the Mahdi and fight an evil or a false one. Etc etc. Just interesting.

I'd like to read more about Judaism as well. I guess it's because I see the other two religions as cousins to my religion, and that within the faiths, there is some common ground.
it's like staying in touch with your relatives.

For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge

Sometimes.
You get privvy to info.
What do you do?

Does the information have the potential to hurt?
If so, would you still share it anyways?
What would be your motivation?
Personal gain or to put an end to some sort of injustice?
Correct a wrong?

It's not always easy, and there's sometimes not one answer that's "best fit".
That's what makes each person different. Not everyone will answer all the questions the same way, and at times, the answers chosen may have to hurt folks. But sometimes, even then, it's the truth, and the truth, no matter how deep you shove it down, how many rugs you push it under, it'll still come out. And if it's left to fester and wait... it'll be a lot worse when it's released.

It's not always easy to speak out...
But who said anything was ever easy?

Make things right.
Respect.
True.

Hotel Rwanda

I watched this movie today, and it refreshed memories of watching it on CNN...always hearing about it on the news, but this brought a different perspective. It was different in that the news has a sense to desensitize you, while the movie, in its depiction, says, this is to add more detail.

I can believe there is so much hate in this world that would cause people to kill. It's unfortunate. It's difficult to understand why though. Sometimes, even the simplest answers are the most difficult to accept, let alone fathom.

Why do they fight? What started the hatred? Why can't there be some sort of forgiveness and acceptance? Wyclef Jean sings in the end...there's a United States of America...why can't there be a United States of Africa? England is the United Kingdom, why can't Africa unite all the kingdoms? If they did, imagine not just a nation of states, but an entire continent united?

I sometimes question all of ths fighting in the Middle East. Yes, it's about land. Yes, it's blamed on religion. Yes, it's blamed on oppression. Oppression can be stopped. Healing takes time, but healing can still happen. It's never easy, and it's next to impossible, the cynics and pessimists say. But I think that if everyone who had a fucking opinion that was to continue this bloody messwould just shut the fuck up...and listen...

drop the guns. sit down, shut ass, eat some milk and cookies, kosher foods, or whatever...
just sit the fuck down, shut the fuck up...and hear why the hell people are fighting...fighting stems from some sort of hate, in form of jealousy, greed, whatever... whatever form of hate...just shut ass and figure it out. drop the politics. lose the flags. fuck israel. fuck arabia. fuck the US. keep it simple. lose the religions. lose the faiths. if you did that... would there still be fighting?
if so, find that root cause. find it and the compromise. find the acceptance.

fuckers want to say well, it's cuz my God said it is right to do so. What God? The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob? The God who chose Mohammed as his one true prophet? The God who sent his only begotten son to earth, died for their sins and raised on the third day? If it's any one of those three, then i wish they'd sit the fuck down, shut their asses up, and just accept the fact that 'Daddy' is the same one. Each and every one shouldn't be saying their God is better. They're the same monotheistic God.

Is it cause of land? Share. Jeez. Respect one's property. Respect one's existence. Whatever the reason, keep it simple and realize there's nothing to fight about. and if there is, have a pill of Fuckitol and be cool. Cuase sooner or later, we all die, and we WILL hopefully stand in front of the God we may or may not believe in, and if you did well in life, you'll pass and collect 200. But if not, man... i hope you like it flame broiled...or whatever it is as the alternative. And for those who have no faith, eh. fuck it. still be cool and respect.

But until then, man, i hope there'll be peace on earth before we all get wiped out...and let fucking insects rule.

tennis stuff

there's this article on yahoo news...
"Wimbledon referee makes a noise over grunting "

and i'm thinking, eh?
so I read on...

LONDON (AFP) - Grunting noises made by female tennis players as they strike the ball are getting out of hand, and rules should be changed to crack down on the practice, Wimbledon referee Alan Mills has said, according to a report.

Mills, Wimbledon's chief official for 22 years who retires after this week's tournament, which begins on Monday, told The Sunday Times he believed coaches were teaching young women players to grunt.

"I don't like it at all. Today there is probably more grunting than there has ever been," he said.
"If I was playing an opponent making so much noise, I think I'd just laugh. But it's what young players are being coached to do.

"Many of the non-grunting players are unhappy about the noise pollution and a kind of counter-grunt culture has emerged in recent years whereby offended parties ape their opponent's noises."

He added: "Officials can only act if the player is shown to be making the noise on purpose, which is virtually impossible to do. "As far as I am concerned it is certainly a specific matter that the rule makers should address."

One of the loudest of the modern grunters is defending women's champion Maria Sharapova, who, according to the paper, makes a 100-decibel grunt, roughly the same volume as small aircraft landing nearby.

Hmm. 100-decibel, huh? It's like...porn for sports fans.

diary of an insomniac the day of 6.17.05

43 days later, i've been good still.
haven't had a cravin' for mint.
well, at least haven't succumbed to it.
That, and hearing about someone's lung collapsing and all that...
yeah... kinda makes you think, well... damn

got my GMP georgia state patrol mustang in the mail today.
completes my collection of those.
makes me wonder if i collect these things just to pass the time
and to compensate for whatever.
i know the answer to that.
anyways, the states are TX, GA, FL, CA, NY, and MI.

ok, so granted the computer calls it 6/18 now...
but i'm still on 6/17 time.
last email i got was 6/12.
i'd gotten a small hi, but not sure if that one counted
that was on 6/14.
i think it's time to release my hopes from their obligation.
too good to be true, really.
but again, high hopes have much farther to travel.

work was actually 'fulfilling', if i can call it that.
actually sat down, worked on some drawings, etc etc.

i haven't drawn in a while...
no, not work related stuff...just...to pass the time.
either i'm just lazy to start one,
or no motivation as to what to actually do.
but if something should kick in, i'll be sure to start a new drawing.

met up with KC for lunch today.
i'm so glad she made the drive down.
it's so strange to have her nearby town again.
like... it's all great and awesome, but it's like, wow, i can't believe it.

got my test grade back.
got a 93. not too bad, the studying helped out.
i'm a lil pissed cuz i know i answered the question right,
but if you scroll the mouse wrong, it actually changes your answer.
i coulda sworn i checked all my answers too.
ah well. 3 more exams, and lots of quizzes to go.
2 exams next week. that and some relatives will be in town.
cool beans, i reckon

catching up a lil bit with a friend of mine.
known her since at least 99.
wow. time flies.
i still have a picture of her from 5 yrs ago on my desk.

sent an email at work this week.
well, ok, so i send a lot of them, but this one was to an old HS classmate.
I was a senior when she was a freshman.
wow. 11 years ago.
anyways, i liked her but always figured she liked the popular guy in class.
not really sure, but some of the class later said she liked me.
last to know, huh? yeah, too late anyways. she started hanging out
with another group, and so.... yeah

6 yrs later, i saw her through a crowd at work. too much of a coincidence to see her,
so i figured it couldn't be her. but sure enough, yeah, it was.
saw her from time to time, and once again earlier this summer.
11 yrs later, sent her an email.
haven't heard back, but oh well.
too little too late, maybe.

watched Predator 2 tonight.
good grief. that's 90 mins i'll never have again.
sure, it fills in the gap, but for that purpose only.

not sure what else to include. that's really all about it.
just tired. long week. it's tiring trying to behave.
anyways. yeah.
not holding my breath anymore.

Cambodian justice

I don't know much about the judicial system of Cambodia.
I'll probably never look it up in a book or google it either.

But one thing's for sure. They need to make sure that the four people who decided to take control of a school for the purpose of taking money shall be made a warning to others who would even dare try to pull something off like that.

For those not in the know, the four attackers took a teacher with about 30 or so nursery-aged schoolchildren to one of the rooms in the 2-building school. They wanted $30,000 US and a vehicle, which was provided. They also wanted weapons, but were not furnished. Their reason for the school? Lots of foreigners go there, so they figured the parents would be rich.

My grief? One of the children was crying. A lot. I mean, come on. You're a toddler. You cry, period. In an excited state, you cry more. Their leader shot and killed the child just to silence the life. The authorities finally captured the four, but after parents also beat the shit out of some of them.

My heart goes out to those kids who'll be traumatized for the rest of their lives. My heart goes out to their parents who worried what would happen next. My heart goes out to the Canadian family who now have much more to deal with. Sure, I have to think of praying for forgiveness for these four. Their socio-economic status is what drove them to such measures... but when you kill a child... I pray that God's vengeance is still very much alive and full of great vengeance and furious anger. No child deserves an early exit. They're God's proof that the world should continue...so I read in a book.

Should beat the shit out of them harder.

I don't want California to leave

For the main reasons, we have friends and relaives there. We, not in my immediate circle sense, but we as in globally. Also, economically, pollution aside, the west coast is cool.

But the real main reason why I don't want California or the west coast to fall into the ocean as others keep saying if a big one strikes?

California currently comprises the bulk of the contiguous west coast of the United States.
We lose California, we are then left with Nevada and Utah and Idaho, etc. Do you realize what this means? These states will then become the new west coast. It will be in no time that the new West Coast States will adopt the styles and ways of the previous West Coast.

I mean, come on. I do not want to see gangs in Utah. Last thing we need is a Mormon gang flashing gang signs of being West Coast. In the gang movie Colors, Ice-T said Colors, colors, we never die...we just multiply. Mormons? NO SHIT! They multiply real fast. And Idaho?
Drive-by potato'ing.

So no... don't let California leave.

Mother Earth is dancing

Ok, so the Earth is having issues.
Earthquake in California.
Then in Chile and Crete, off of Greece.
Then California.
Then California again.

What gives?

Art imitating life

I just read from a CNN report that there's some artist who jumped off from a 5 story building more than 30 times, trying to recreate jumping from the Twin Towers on 9/11. According to him, he was distraught just as most of the world was when watching it years ago on the news...and this was his response.

Another example of another man's art is....etc etc.

Me personally? I think it's tacky. Sure, it's ok to be different at times, and art is always a matter of opinion. One's art is another's trash or tactless visualization. But I guess that's part of the territory in these United States...to be able to express what you think or feel without oppression.

But then again, next time, paint a fucking picture just like everyone else. It's not like Titanic when that one dude jumped off and hit the propeller. We sat eyes glued to the TVs as those folks knew they had no choice, that it was their last moment in life, some of them were husband and wife holding hands, and preferred to jump rather than to stay in a burning building. They didn't have safety nets or wires. They didn't jump off to make a statement. Distraught? No, i don't think there's a word to describe what went through their minds.

And I hope to God no one has to ever have that thought go through their minds ever again. I know one thing's for sure. I bet none of them said "Hey, take a picture of this. It's art." Oh, and the best? He calls walking/falling a metaphor. Walking, ya take a step, fall, and catch yourself with the next step. Yeah, in the grand scheme of things, America fell on Sept. 11th, 2001, and we caught ourselves and taking steps again. But to compare their falling with this... Man, I'm just glad no one was distraught that planes were going to hit a building and fucked up enough to do it again and call it art.

Artist leaps off museum roof to recall 9/11 horror - Source CNN.com
CHICAGO, Illinois (AP) -- A performance artist wearing safety harnesses jumped repeatedly from a museum roof to create photographs that recall scenes from the World Trade Center attack, but his spectacle was scorned by some onlookers and victims' relatives.

Collaborating photographers snapped away as Kerry Skarbakka fell more than 30 times from the five-story Museum of Contemporary Art on Tuesday. The photographs will be retouched to erase the pulleys and wires that kept Skarbakka from hitting the pavement.

Skarbakka, 34, said he started thinking about falling after watching on television as workers jumped to their deaths from the twin towers on September 11, 2001.

"I was so distraught, I needed some way to find an artistic response," he told the Chicago Sun-Times. Now, he says he sees falling as a metaphor for life.

"Mentally, physically and emotionally, from day to day, we fall. Even walking is falling: You take a step, fall and catch yourself," he said.

Skarbakka, who lives in New York and was named by ArtReview magazine last fall as an outstanding young photographer, has exhibited similar images of previous jumps.
His antics on Tuesday attracted a crowd of gawkers, who became sidewalk critics.

"It was fabulous," said Darlene Schuff, 56. "I just wanted to be a part of it. It's a happening." Others in the crowd said Skarbakka's effort was too staged to have meaning.

In New York, Mayor Michael Bloomberg called it "nauseatingly offensive," and some who lost family and friends at the trade center agreed.

"What kind of a sick individual is he? Tell him to go jump off the Empire State Building and see how it feels," Rosemarie Giallombardo, whose son Paul Salvio died in the terrorist attack, told the (New York) Daily News. "He's an artist? Go paint a bowl of fruit or something."

Filipino Eyes are Smilin

Well, ok, so I know it's supposed to be Irish eyes, and everyone has a lil irish in 'em, so....

Weeks ago, Pink Tiger said I'd been a lil bit down lately. I guess aside from work just being...well...work... I've had stuff missing, whether it's direction, or just a feeling of self-worth.
It happens to everyone, I guess, but as of late, that's slowly going away.

I'm starting to find that self-worth again, or if not that, then at least some direction in life. The last few years, I've added more things to my list of what I want in life, what I'm looking for. And normally, i've been told to just settle down Beavis and wait...and see...and pray.

I know better than to get my hopes up for anything, whether it's work or social or just life in general... well, I should. But for what it's worth, I'm smiling again, and I don't have to fake it anymore.

yeah, work will still be work. That's why they call it that. And I'm sure I'll still have issues regarding some stuff...but trust me, after watching Be Cool... in particular Raji... heh, yeah, from here on out, all i can do is laugh it off (I think the Tiger called it best when she said "Put one hand over your mouth, lean back, and point using the other hand"). yeah, yeah, as in, i'm appreciatin' it, yo.

i'm starting to be happy again.
not there yet, but we'll see. Filipino eyes are smilin'.

Query room

There's this place I hop on to frequently, and there's a room they call Query [ ]>

There, you pretty much ask a hella lot of questions about the person in the 'hotseat', and sometimes, they're serious questions (who's your hero, what's your goal in life, etc), and some are crazy (which muppet should rule the world?, etc).

And then ya have those emails that ask what your favorite whatever is.

Hrm. I know i'm not oh so exciting, but i wonder what people would ask me.

Yay!

So took three quizzes for one of the classes....

got a 100, 97, and a 98.

YAY!!!

And it's been 2 yrs since I'd ben out of school, and I'm actually really, really interested in the subject matter! YAY! that's the GOOD news.

The shitty news is now I have to take the test sometime this coming week.
The decent news is I'm also cool with the other class, so hopefully, the week will go by well.

hee hee

Just a question...

As most people who follow the news know,

there is a missing 18-yr old in Aruba... and the reports say that she was smart, straight A's, had a full scholarship waiting for her at University of Alabama, wanted to go to Med school... etc etc.

This girl had her future ahead of her.

And with what little is in the news, until this all gets sorted out, you just have to feel really bad for this girl and her family. No one deserves this.

But one question I have to ask is this... According to what's out there, she went on her own accord. Ok...if you were in some foreign place, would you go with three people you have never met to a secluded beach? Being abducted is one thing. But knowingly... I don't know.

I've asked several friends, and so far, the tally says no. Right now, all I can hope for her family is closure and if so, justice.

Just wanted to say

I'm happy.
Sleepy, yeah
Slight headache from hurtin' my head earlier, yeah
but i'm happy.

E.P.O. - The Path to the Dark Side

Posted by Hello

You know the expression, "Walk in my shoes"?

It's funny when at one point, Darth Pepe was on the other side of the fence.
Had power.
Hated it when I'd interpret some things which made sense. Well, to me anyways.
Didn't seem to trust it when I had stuff for him.

It's funny now cuz well... he's on this side of the fence now.
He's walking in our shoes...
and now he knows what it's like...

indeed. the path of the dark side.
and his skills, though he's still new, are getting there..

Funny

2 yrs ago, i was in a class.
yeah, i mentioned this story already.
there was a cute girl, sat in front of me, turned around, asked if i understood the class, and pretty much volunteered me to help her get through the class.

she had issues with coming to class, whether it's one thing or another. the instructor was kind enough to let her finish by finishing all the exams, and i still helped her through it. I think she made a B.

we were friends. hung out every now and then. her family was cool with me. her son was cool with me. our study buddy said she thought the classmate and i were gonna hit it off. we'd usually sit outside her porch after studying, and just talk for a while. i kinda miss dancing and playin in the water fountain with her.

studying and work wise, i love my memory... photo/videographic... videographic cuz i can play the entire memory from start to finish. and at times, i wanna just say fuck it. Fuckitol. 1 tablet please.

she told me stuff she didn't tell a soul, not her son, not her brother or whatever.
made me feel honored. got to talking that she would start dating again when her son turned 18...7 yrs later. hmm. could Bum actually wait that long? Shit, I was liking a chick with a kid, waiting might not be such a bad thing. she told me of the guy she broke up with. twice. her son didn't like him, and apparently, he didn't even acknowledge the kiddo was alive.

few months later, she stopped saying hi. she somehow made up again with the guy.
makes me think, ya know, if you try to be decent, not too much of an ass or an asshole, have some sort of non-criminal personality... maybe, just maybe, some chic will dig ya. especially when a few others think it'd be ok. but when ya up and go back to someone you swear you'll never go back to... i had to question what the hell was wrong with me. Fuckitol, another tablet, please. thank you sir, may I have another?

2 yrs ago. i learned.

1 yr later. got back in touch just to say hi every now and then. well, no, i stayed in touch a lil bit more often than that. that just didn't mean she did.

last october. oh yeah, she met some guy. I was so happy for her. somehow, her family kept telling the guy all about me, me who was just a friend. and he wanted to meet me. wtf. i'm not family, i'm just another friend. yeah, i remember that phone call. just got back from a business trip and just before vacation. just outside BW3s. It was a Tuesday. I think.

This year.
I'd call and leave voicemail. one time, i got to say hi at work, and maybe talked for about 3 mins. the usual she'll call me back later, email me later, etc etc. I actually knew better about that part. she never calls back. but, for old times sake, Fuckitol, in new water soluble capsule form.

Mother's Day.
Saw her son. Told him to tell her hi for me. Doubt or dunno if that was actually done.

Classes have started for this summer as of Monday, 6/6.
I'd wanted to get my old book back so I can use it as a study guide.
Email? No answer.
Voicemail? No answer.
Work? They seemed surprised when I asked for her.
Home? Some guy picked up, have no idea if he passed the word on to her.
Mainly that I said hi, and that I wanted my book back.

Two days later?
still hadn't heard from her.
didn't know if she was still taking classes.
no email, no calls.

during class break, called her house up.
same guy picked up. no idea who it was.

hi, is she there? she's asleep? ok, can i talk to her son? ok, i'll wait.

hey kiddo, how ya been? good? good.
do me a favor? can you tell your Mom I'm back in school and need to get my book back so I can use it to study? Cool. thanks!
So, what's new? You doin' good? How's your Mom?

a baby girl...2 days ago...
i see.
wow.
congratulations to her.
to you too.

and i think as i listen to how you said it, you didn't sound too thrilled.
but hmm.

shot of fuckitol, amazement, and funny, please.
as much as i tried to stay in touch...
as much as you agreed you didn't stay in touch enough...
as much as we knew i was around...

i'm good enough to tell your life story to.
that your father was ill, and i'll pray for him.
just not good enough to say "hey i'm gonna have a kid".

funny.

Black Eyed Peas

Got their new CD this week.
Man, I can't believe it's been a good long while since I saw them in concert.
I should prolly scan the pics I got from the concert cuz I was upfront and center ..well, ok, slightly stage left-center, but still.

Anyways, I like the CD.
Others may not, but hey, that's them.

Me? I like it.
It even has the obligatory filipino song as one of the tracks

prayer for the dying

several years ago, i would wait until his mother and older sister would pick him up after sunday school. they'd wave, i'd wave, and off he went. he wasn't just a kid in my third grade sunday school, they were family friends. his grandmother was my grandmother's friend at the parties. our moms would talk with each other and stuff.

he's now a jr. in high school.
today, we buried his mother.
i hadn't been an altar server for a funeral in several years. so much so, i can't even remember when the last one was. i'd have to strain and think to remember.

i didn't go to the wake on friday. somehow, aside from other possible reasons, i don't like seeing the deceased outside of how i remember them. very rare that the dead look like when they did alive.

he's not taking it well either. but she was suffering and it was time to let go.

i remembered how the ceremony was supposed to be like riding a bike. still doesn't take away the fact that i got misty. i don't cry for his Mom, because she's no longer suffering. she can look down upon them. i cry for the ones she leaves behind. her parents, her husband, her children, etc. so while we pray for her soul, i pray for her family. the ones left behind.

i like

the girl who was dancing to all the latin dances
she was cute
she could dance

The Emperor is known to walk much akin to the bunny-hop.
Be mindful, Pink Tiger. This one is strong in the ways of the Dark Side of the EPO.
