Spaceball 69

One of the cool projects we (Hailz, Pink Tiger, Smiley, and I)got to work on at work was to certify a basketball for the NBA for use in the international space station. so yeah, during the NBA all-star game, 2006, an astronaut and a cosmonaut appeared on tv, with a basketball, hats, and shirts with the NBA logo and what not. yep. that was one of ours.

Spalding had only made 2006 total gameballs with the All-Star Game printed on it, and we had flown 1 of 2006. which made sense when i was at the store after my shift at the NASA booth that i wouldn't be able to find it. BUT, i got one just as cool...well, maybe...

i picked up #69 of 2006. *lol*

so, though we would never be allowed to keep 1 of 2006, i got my own as a keepsake, and it's all good all the same. :)
