New Day New Stuff

today was a much better day.
BumPod kept me company at work for most of the day. I guess I got some stuff at work done. We got some bad news about deaths within the company, whether direct or indirect. Bad sad news.

Had chinese food with Jess and Jake and Jodie. Funny thing is, last time we all sat down to lunch together, oddly enough, it was again at Pei Wei. Always fun, always yum.

Ok, today, after lunch, I made a quick trip to Best Buy and got Tenjho Tenge: Round 5. Argh, the reason why i hate ...well, ok...dislike... series on DVD is that...well, especially in the case of anime, is that... you watch a dvd, which has oh so many episodes, and you get left hanging until the next one comes out. here, i have to wait 2-3 months in between DVDs. very evil. ha ha, so, maybe tonight, or what's left of it, i'll watch the episodes. Pretty cool. Nothing says "giddyup" than Anime women dressed in schoolgirl outfits that can kick some ass with samurai swords. The guys can kick ass too, but, i mean...come on. schoolgirl outfits. Stay with me here. I'll admit, one of the criteria for my dreamgirl is that she looks good in a schoolgirl outfit. *lol*

anyways, what else... saturday is the mgr's bday. in following with some tradition, i went ahead and 'trashed' his desk. Hopefully, he'll have some of the humor he told me he would have. in any case, i took pictures and will try to post them, maybe tomorrow, after i get them off the camera at work.

went to class today, but tonight it was held at the contemporary art museum. neat works of art...kinda disturbing in some, pretty cool in others. one was this gigantic chalkboard with an imprinted outline of the US Flag. The artist encourages the viewers to write down in chalk what they thought what it was to be an American. Some wrote down "Walmart", some wrote anti-Bush statements. one wrote anti-war, one wrote "ashamed" one wrote "LMAO". Me? I put down my slight rendition of the pledge of allegiance. under God, Allah, Buddha, etc. our assignment for next week is to summarize and provide opinion on one of the sets of art we saw from the two different artists showcased. part of the class, we also had to sit and listen to two artists present slideshows, and field questions. hmm...we were like...WTF. some of the art they showed was cool. some... uh huh.

that was it for the most part. chatted with Kerry and Cindy. and had to also tell Maizzy that everything's gonna be alright. :)

and now... pictures...
