let it snow

went and did some Christmas shopping today. well, ok, i finally picked up some of the napoleon dynamite figures i'd posted about earlier. almost all of the stores had sold out of them, so i lucked out. "frickin' sweet".

got my grandmother a pretty cool gift that i know she'll love. just have to finish giftwrapping it tomorrow. also got mom a gift that i know she'd like. typically cuz i'm the one who buys her perfume. it's her favorite, so, *shrug*

as for dad... dunno really.

the chief was really cool and got me some desk organizers. yep, that's why i took pics of the desk area. not SO clean, but a lil bit more organized. two straight days, left work and the desk was left cleaner than usual, or at least less cluttered.

the tiger is way cool. although, she...well, she knows what chocolates do to me, so,...if you hear a lot of the usual skipping down the hall, it's me. mmMMmm...chocolate goodness. have y'all seen the 5 lb. hershey's chocolate bar? it's a big mofo, and it's even more fun to eat. coworkers, 5 yrs ago, made a bet that i couldn't even finish a small part of it. and then they saw what i was capable of with regards to chocolate. that and the after effects of hyperness. always fun in an already hyper person, right? but yes, darling pink tiger got me some chocolate in a nice big ass and pretty nifty cup.

what else? you'd have thought i work for budweiser. all decked out in budweiser gear... and the best part of it? Hailz got me this reaaaaaaally cool budweiser belt buckle. i actually wear it more than the don't mess with texas one. go fig, but i rike it. i rike it a rot.

sara's back. she's been back. gonna have to catch up with her soon. i guess it is possible to have withdrawal symptoms with people. hmm. addiction to some people. is that a good thing? hi, my name is Bum, and I am a [chic's name here]-aholic.

the last few days at work been pretty cool as far as having stuff on my to do list and actually....GETTING TO THEM. yes. muhahaha. got some drawings done and approved, reviewed a good deal, etc etc. Anastacia was talking about a softball team for the coming year, and it seems like there is ample support and enthusiasm... i'm kinda hopin' we get a team together again. whether just to show up and yell for them or actually et out there, swing the bat, slide into second and take the second baseman out... always fun.

Ness is gone for several weeks, so the freaks will have to just have to find ways to pass the time without her. prolly should email her again just to say hi. again, withdrawal symptoms.

as far as the other freaks go, i being one of them, it's just cool how differen bckgrounds, and yet you have or start off with one shared/common bond, and then ya learn more about the folks and it's just....for lack of a better term, way cool. of course, some of the freaks would throw in "omg, lol, rotf, lmao, omg, wtf"...but that's why i think they're cool.

still waiting of a few things i'd gotten on ebay. i hate waiting. moreso when the seller waited a week to mail the darn thing. well, i reckon it'll be here by the week, for sure. i had to exchange the sean connery bond cuz the base of it wasn't really done right. but, SSC was always cool, as always, and gonna switch mine out. so, that'll prolly be done in 2-3 weeks. yay! i've got a few other items in, and once the rest arrive, i can rearrange around a bit to where looks 'right'.

what else... went to best buy today and got The Great Raid and Serenity. Serenity was just cool. period. did i say that while at the comic store for one of their sales, i got a Serenity movie poster as a door prize? yep, way cool. so, will hopefully see that movie again soon. tonight though, i watched The Great Raid. I'd wanted to see it in the theaters, but for some reason or another didn't make it. but today, while gettng Serenity, i saw the dvd sitting besdie it, so went ahead andt that one too. The Great Raid is based on a true story about the most successful rescue operation in the history of the US military where 500+ american force prisoners of war were rescued. this took place in 1944 in the Philippines. 500+ POWs rescued, a few casualties and only 1 KIA from the rescue team. the Rangers did it with the help of Filipino guerilla fighters... this is closer to home because it reminds me of what my grandparents went through. grandma lived through japanese-occupied Philippines, and she would tell me of when the Allied troops came back. My late grandfather Amado was also one of the guerilla soldiers... because of his support, he too became an American citizen. finally, it all goes with when i saw the black eyed peas' video for The APL Song... to me, it was moving.

december 21. time is just flying and 2006 is just right around the corner. wow... seems like only a few months ago, there was Jew night, hockey night...going out with KC and Kerry, getting pics at Mo's, and making some new year's resolutions. can't say i stayed true all throughout the year, but i did try.

what's 2006 got? i'm gonna ask myself every day til it gets here.
