The FAQs

There's a place that I frequent every now and then where they have a hotseat for one person, and they ask the person on the hotseat almost any question, and that person asks it.

Well, I'm gonna do just that on here, so ask any questions. This will be ongoing for the duration of this blog, I guess. I'll reply. And link this particular one to the side.

Who'll be the first?

* It's the name I go by. It's my birth nickname, if there was one. Long story behind it. But anyways, for all practical purposes, more people know me by Bum than my legal birth name.

#2 - What of a woman that makes you fall in love with them? - Cedia
* Falling in love versus falling in lust... Well, to differentiate, the ones I love, even after it's done and over with, I still ... they own real estate in my heart. The one I lust are fleeting.

I read once:
LOVE - love me, or I'll suffer
LUST - love me, or I'll make you suffer (heh)

Ok... I lust after their physical beauty, but it's getting to know them, watch them, understanding what makes them tick...Personality and a sense of humor, as well as responsibility. That's what makes me fall in love with them. It would take a separate post just to list how picky i can get, but in general... the girl next door type who can have fun.

How'd I get my current job?
Well... stroke of luck. Long story short, one day at my old job, an old classmate kept flooding all of our emails with junk mail, so i sent a reply all asking for them to check the info before sending it to us. Well, one other classmate replied thanking me and asked what I was up to. I said I was back in school, while working at the center for ports and waterways, but was looking for something a bit more permanent. She told me about a job fair, which i attended. (Turns out i was the only one of the 7 she referred that actually went). Anyways, they didn't need any networking folks, but were looking for systems engineers (Non computer related, which was what i was anyways). no joy with those openings, but one of the mgrs emailed me back 2 weeks later, asked if i was still interested in a job, so i interviewed and got this current position. All because of junk email. :)
