10/18 - Villefranche, French Riviera

10/18 - Arrived at Villefranche. We waited for a train, but since it's October, the tourist season's ending, and the train schedule is irregular. While waiting for the train (that we all ended up saying, Fuck it, and left to), we had a nice chat with a couple. Turns out the guy (Coach Brodsky) used to be Emmitt Smith's running back coach with the Cowboys. He even let me wear one of his Superbowl rings that day and take a picture with it.

He was a down to earth guy who said, When we get back to the ship, I'll let you wear one of the other rings that's bigger than this one. He was true to his word. Although gaudy, the second ring pretty big with all the diamonds.

So this time around, we passed up Monaco/Monte Carlo. We didn't feel like gambling, already had been there some years ago, and we didn't want to miss the boat. :) But it was still an eventful day.
