Soulmates

A friend and I had recently talked about soulmates.
I know I'd posted about them back in December, and how we see or rather, define what soulmates are.

The dictionary said:
soul mate (n.) One of two persons compatible with each other in disposition, point of view, or sensitivity.

Stacy said:
"Soulmates...kindred spirits...I always felt like we were kindred spirits. I know the whole 'kindred spirit' thing sounds like a lot of hooey, but I think people can have kindred spirits. It doesn't mean they have to be lovers...it just means that their spirits...souls...whatever you want to call it, recognizes each other....they speak to each other in a kind of "read-between-the-lines" way that never has to be put into words."

I used to think, there's just -one- soulmate. One to one. But now, I don't think so. I think I've gotten several soulmates in a lil over 28 years time, and I'm sure I'll prolly get a few more before it's time to turn in my timesheet. I've got a few I like to call my soulmates.

Yeah, some I wished were more, but the fact that they can understand and I can share with them what I think, they can tell what I'm thinking at times. Sometimes, just thinking about them can make me giddy in a special way I can't explain. When you have that smile, that laugh, that understanding.

Soulmates. or, as a pirate might say, Soulmatey.
Thank God for them.
